Explore the ancient
capital city of Kathmandu. Visit the enormous shrine of Buddha’s all-seeing
eyes. Enjoy elephant safari in the Chitwan National Park. Travel to the ancient
city of Patan – ‘city of beauty’ founded in the 3rd century – to admire
the fascinating architecture of its hundreds of temples and palaces. Soak in the
spectacular views of Mt. Everest during you sightseeing flight (optional,
weather permitting).
Day 1.
Varanasi. Kathmandu. Chitwan National Park
Morning
flight from Varanasi to Kathmandu. From here your are transferred to Chitwan
National Park. Until recently it was the playground for Nepal’s elite – and
the sport was large game hunting. It
is now the most protected wildlife reserve in Nepal.
Day 2.
Chitwan National Park
Early
in the morning you go on elephant safari in the park for game viewing,
followed by breakfast and lunch. In the late afternoon you go on elephant/jeep
safari in the park.
Day 3.
Kathmandu
You
will return to Kathmandu. In the afternoon sightseeing of Kathmandu city,
visiting the Durbar Square with its pagoda-shaped temples, the Royal Residential
Palace and the temple of the living Goddess - a young girl worshipped as a deity
by all Nepalese. You will also visit Swayambhunath - the enormous shrine of
the Buddha’s all-seeing eyes.
Day 4.
Kathmandu
Today
we travel to the ancient city of Patan, founded in the 3rd century,
with its hundreds of temples and palaces. This “city of beauty “ has some of
the most fascinating architecture of both Buddhist and Hindu cultures.
Day 5. Delhi
You
are transferred to the airport for you flight to Delhi.
You will have some time for the last minute sightseeing or shopping in Delhi.
Day 6.
Delhi and Departure
You are transferred to the international airport
for your flight back home.
